of love, of murder, of chaos, of betrayal, of peace, of joy, of Warriors
THE PROPHECY
Like a wavering note, An echoing lyre, Like a flickering flame, A dying fire:
The four clans will fade, Replaced by just three Of tradition, of peace, Of unknown harmony.
The three all mean well But they are dreams drempt in vain For they're greeted with nothing But war, blood, and pain
From within the four clans Twelve cats shall arise; With power in their paws, And hope in their eyes.
Destruction is looming, and they cannot fail - Those blessed by the stars Must follow the trail.
That leads through the mountains, Through valleys of snow, To return, and with peace set the forest aglow.
The battle is finished, The journey's come to an end. The chosen shall decide The fate of the clans, to break or mend.
THE STORY
Five Warrior clans and a newly arrived pack of wolves inhabit the ocean-side territories - FalconClan, StormClan, SandClan, StreamClan, BlackClan, and WolfPack. Cats have been falling in love, and over clan borders one too many times. Half-blood kits are being born, and secrets roam everywhere. One has been split, and a battle erupts over it -- at a gathering.
A massive hurricane sweeps over the ocean-side territories the next day, and most seem to think it is StarClan's way of showing their disapproval. SandClan and StreamClan have lost half their territory to water, and demand more land at the next gathering. Because of this, a warrior stands up and gives a convincing speech about why the clans should join together, and, surprisingly, receives a lot of support... especially from the many cross-clan lovers and their kits.
Alliances have formed - the Union, who want one big clan - the Vendettas, who want the individual clans as separate as possible, and the Correspondence, who want nothing but peace. This corrupts the clans from inside, as they split and battle themselves, and uncertain alliances are formed between union members of different clans, and the vendettas of different clans aren't sure whether or not to join together - it's against their goal but they have the same goal in mind.
To stop the confusion and bloodshed, StarClan has chosen three cats from each clan, each with a different side on the matter, who must travel together through the mountains and... somehow, save the clans. Incredible power awaits at the other side of those snow-capped peaks - power that still might not be enough to make the return journey through leafbare and rescue the clans.
