(For these purposes, Hidden is already Hiddenpaw)
Hiddenpaw turned to rasp her tongue over her shoulder. "I don't get why watermint is always by cold water." She shook each of her paws in turn, flinging small sparkles at and through the silver cat next to her. To any cat, it would look as if she spoke to herself, as only she could see the StarClan cat but Silverbloom was very much there. He guided her paws to the base of the leafy plant. She sliced with her claws outstretched as to not get any of the mud beneath it. A tangy smell was released into the air as she growled at the plant and picked it up from its watery home. She stepped out of the shallow freezing water and shook. The flying water glinted in the midmorning light. Now on to marigold The tom beside her said. She let out an exasperated mew, how much was one cat expected to carry at once? She located a patch of marigold and started gathering the orange flowered herb. She collected as much as she could carry with the leafy watermint. Hiddenpaw turned to see the quiet kitling she'd seen on the day of the battle.

Spottedpaw stuck his nose into the cloves, focusing hard on the earthy smell. He glanced sideways. A grey cat was standing only fox lengths away, its fur sparkaling. Spottedpaw's jaw dropped open. Is that a Star Clan cat? But then he realized he was only starring into the soft ble eyes of Hiddenpaw, the medicine cat apprentice. He lifted his nose out of the clovers, anoyed at himself that he hadnt noticed her watching his every move. "Hi." she meowed. Spottedpaw glarred at his paws. "Hi." he meowed dryly. Hiddenflower smiled. "Trying to become a medicine cat?" she joked. "No! I thought I smelled fox!" he hissed rudley. Hiddenflower rolled her eyes. "What do you have against me Spottedpaw?" she asked cooly. Spottedpaw starred at Hiddenpaw. "Nothing." he replied. (Sorry!!  ) |

"Fine, help me get this back to camp." Hiddenpaw gestured at the mound of herbs at her paws. Silverbloom mrowwed with laughter as the two apprentices had their small dispute and watched Hiddenpaw enlist the other apprentices help with the same mirth in his eyes. He went to Hiddenpaw's shoulder, starshine glinting from his paws and whispered You're lucky. You ran into someone to help, when I was the medicine cat apprentice- Hiddenpaw cut the silver cat off with a "We get you're old, geezer!" Then, realizing she seemed to be talking to thin air, turned to Spottedpaw with an embarrassed look.

Spottedpaw frowned. "Meowing into thin air now? Ill never understand medicine cats." he mumbled, picking up some of the herbs. Hiddenpaw gave a nervous laugh, then picked up her share of herbs.
Spottedpaw ignored the disgusting flavors in his mouth as they padded back to camp. His mind was to focused on his next fighting session with his mentor. When they finally reached the camp, Spottedpaw and Hiddenpaw padded into the medicine den.
"Thanks." Hiddenflower meowed, poking the pile of herbs with her paw. "Fine, whatever." Spottedpaw started to leave when Hiddenpaw called him back. "Do you think mabey, you could teach me to hunt tonight?" she asked. Spottedpaw tilted his head, curious. "Why?" Hiddenpaw shifted on her paws. "Well, I...I dont remember how to."

Spottedpaw felt something nagging at his heart. "Okay. Meet me at the camp entrance." Spottedpaw meowed, not even relizing what he had just said. Hiddenpaw smiled. "Thanks!" She gave him a freindly lick, then got back to work sorting herbs. Spottedpaw felt like he had bin floatin among the clouds. He staggered out of then den. Wow...

Hiddenpaw meowed softly, happy she'd made a new friend. Silverbloom mrowwed with laughter again That tom really likes you, you know. "Does he now?" Hiddenpaw turned a cold shoulder to her StarClan mentor and went back to sorting herbs.
~Later that Day, Before Moonhigh~
Hiddenpaw waited at the camp entrence, her pelt nearly glowing in the moonlight. As always, Silverbloom was at her shoulder meowing about something or other. This time, it was his worry about sneaking out of camp with a tom. She swiped at him, her paw passing through his translucuent body. Hidden hissed quietly in annoyance. He snorted at her and waited.

Spottedpaw slunk out of the apprentices den, ready for a full night of hunting lessons. Hiddenpaw wan sitting patiently at the entrance of the camp, her fur glowing. "Ready?" Hiddenpaw meowed, her eyes bright. Spottedpaw nodded. "Uh, ya. Lets go." he meowed, padding out of the camp. Hiddenpaw followed closely behind. "So, were are we going?" she asked. Sottedpaw rolled his eyes. "Were do you think? The sand dunes of course." he snapped. Hiddenpaw fake hissed. "The place I rarley visit. No herbs even grow there!" Spottedpaw let out a purr. "Bare in herbs mabey, but not prey."
~Ariving at the sand dunes~
"Night time is the best time to hunt on the sand dunes. Lizards, snakes, and mice come out to hunt the crickets and moths." "Wow, I didnt know that!" Hiddenpaw crouched low, and pretended to stalk a piece of prey. "Perfect, just use lighter steps and make sure to keep you tail off of the ground." Hiddenpaw lifted her tail off of the ground, and moved forward like a ghost. "Your a natuaral!" Spottedpaw praised. "Lets try it on a real piece of prey now." The two stalked up a sand dune. At the peak, they could see a rough skined lizard muching on a black cricket.

Hiddenpaw glided foreward instantly, quickly. The lizard was dead before it had finished its cricket. She dropped the lizard at Spottedpaw's paws and sniffed the air. Suddenly the wind shifted. Hiddenpaw tasted the gray apprentice before she saw him. Ashpaw walked shyly up to Hiddenpaw "Hi..". He bowed his head apologetically "I smelled your scents and followed you. Are you collecting herbs?"

Spottedpaw shook his head. "Not this time. We're hunting. She just caught a lizard!" he meowed proudly, nodding torwards the dead lizard.
Ashpaw shot him a glare. Spottedpaw, suprised, starred closely at his freind. Tension was pulsing off of him. He's jelous! "Wow, great catch Hiddenpaw! Your a natuaral!" Ashpaw praised. Spottedpaw shifted uncomfterbly.
I told her that! The dappled apprentice narrowed his green eyes, getting the feeling Ashpaw had been spying on them. "So Ashpaw, have any luck yourself?" Hiddenpaw asked. Ashpaw held his head high. "Yup. A snake and a couple of mice." he declared.

"Thanks Ashpaw." Hiddenpaw licked the fur between her friend's ears. She was more comfortable with him than the other cats in the clan as he'd been one of the first to welcome her. She purred praise as Ashpaw listed his catch. She doubted she'd ever be that good, but her friend had to be one of the best.

(can i be Spottedpaws mentor?)
Sun padded out of her nest and into the center of the camp. why do i smell other cats? She walked to the entrence and sniffed again.i know these scents!! Hiddenpaw,Spottedpaw, and Ashpaw! What were they doing out here this late? She walked through the entrence and into the forest to follow the scents. She followed them right to the sand dunes. She stepped into the clearing and saw the 3 cats. "What do you think your doing!?!?!?!?!?!" screched Sun. Hiddenpaw was the first to speak. "Spottedpaw was teaching me how to hunt and then Ashpaw just came to make sure we were ok." Sun looked at Ashpaw who was staring menincingly at Spottedpaw. i think Ashpaw came to do alot more than that "Ok. But next tinme make sure to tell somebody that your going out. You can stay here for a few more minutes but i have to sit and watch." All 3 gave Sun a curt nod and went back to hunting. Sun sat down a couple mouse-tails away to watch them. Hiddenpaw was a good hunter for her first time. After a couple of minutes Sun gathered up the 3 cats and headed back to camp with their catches. On the way back Hidden caught a mouse and Sun caught 3 mice for a reason to be gone. They got back to camp and went into their diffrent dens.

(Sure! ) ~Next Morning~ "Spottedpaw! Border patrol." Sunshimmer meowed, poking her apprentice with a paw. Spottedpaw yawned, and streched. "Wake up Ashpaw to. His mentor wants him to join us." Nodding, the dappled apprentice proded the the sleeping tom. With a hiss, Ashpaw cracked open one eye. "What?" "Border patrol." Ashpaw sighed, hoisting himself to his paws. Sunshimmer flicked her tail. "You two get a bite to eat. But dont think about eating any of the fresh pieces. Its the begining of the day and you need to earn it." she meowed, smiling at the unhappy toms. "Okay.... we'll meet you at the entrance when were done." Ashpaw replied. Spottedpaw ripped through his stale tasting sand snake, the meat taking the edge off of his hunger. "Coming?" Ashpaw asked, licking a gray paw. "Yup". The two apprentices padded to the entrance of the camp, were Sunshimmer and Ashpaw's mentor waited. OOC: Who is Ashpaw's mentor?? |

Hiddenpaw padded up, her fur bristling at the ever present tom at her side. "I'm coming. Need borage and more watermint." She mumbled darkly. Silverbloom was rubbing her fur the wrong way, scolding her for being out late. She smelled of burdock as she'd been treating Darkfoot's rat bite.

Spottedpaw pricked his ears, so did Ashpaw. "Great!" the gray apprentice purred, circaling Hiddenpaw. But Hiddenpaw didnt give her usual happy greating. "Whats wrong?" Ashpaw asked, woried. Spottedpaw tilted his head. "Well, we're all here. Lets go." Moonflower meowed, bunmping Ashpaw from behind.
