I'm going to find it. I'm going to find it. Moonflight told herself. She wanted to be the one to find the pups. She wanted to return Echostream to normal, so she would stop worrying. She wanted to be the hero who beat the stupid cats. You shouldn't call the cats stupid, some want to help. But the apprentice could not help but dislike the tiny packs. Moonflight sniffed the ground. Nothing. All the smells seemed to blend together. Every cat and wolf mell she could think stuck to the ground in blood. Moonflight tried to pick up speed, but still fell short in the mushy ground. Mud and blood stained her light gray paws, and some reached up to her shoulders. One step she took; her whole leg slid into the ground. Mud-cat, wet-cat, sand-cat, Moonflight smelled the ground, sniffing for any scent. Wolf, foresty-cat, wind-cat, and..... fox? Moonflight sniffed harder in that one spot. Yep, definately fox. It stunk amoung the other smells, even more that cats. She followed the smell through the thick bushes and reeds, across the mud. Once again her paw fell into a whole, but this one was dry and deep. Moonflight looked down. [/i]Fox hole![/i] Moonflight tipped her head back and howled, calling for the other wolves.

The call of one wolf, who's howl still sounded rather eerie to Featherstar's ears, sounded. Canines began running towards the sound, and the calico she-cat followed. A silvery-grey wolf, smaller than the rest, was standing over a fox hole. It was rather deep, and smelled strongly of it's previous inhabitant. Featherstar could see why the wolf wanted some backup; but that was always safe when it came to foxes. A larger white wolf shouldered her way through the crowd, obviously anxious to see if this alarm was false or not, hoping fervently for the latter. She leaned over and barked gently down the fox hole. A small, horribly frightened mewling sound floated out in reply, followed by an eager whimpering that sounded like it came from a wolf pup's jaws. Scrabbling sounds pursued, and Featherstar realized that the foxhole must be too steep for such young cats and wolves to climb out. But before she could leap to their aid, the hole was already swarming with eager and anxious mothers and warriors.

The small brown kit looked around anxiously with her green eyes wide. "Dawnleaf!" She called out, "Mommy?" Her voice broke as she meowed softly, but Dawnleaf didn't appear. A tortoiseshell cat approached but it was only Berrykit along with Leopardkit.
"Let's find a Stormclan cat," Her brother meowed confidently. "They'll take all of us back to camp."
Birdkit nodded slowly and followed her brother and sister, trying to find someone they recognized. The young she~cat saw tortoiseshell and white cat and ran towards her, "Dawnleaf! Dawnleaf!" But it wasn't her mother, the cat smelled of Falconclan and seemed to be in charge.
That was confirmed when another cat walked over to her and meowed, "Featherstar we've found almost all of the kits." Birdkit felt like a fool for calling the leader of Falconclan her mother and began to back away slowly.

Featherstar frowned. "Almost? Let's count and make sure." She spotted a kit that was calling out for Dawnleaf, and figured that this must be one of her kits. Taking a step forward, the leader meowed, "Are you Birdkit, or Leopardkit?" The small cat looked a little embarrassed, but answered, "Birdkit." "Do you know if BlackClan hid the others anywhere else?" Featherstar questioned, feelings of sympathy prickling under her pelt as she took in Birdkit's unkempt fur and thin stomach.

The little kit shook her head, "No I'm sorry, but my siblings might." She looked around and spotted her brother and sister easily, Berrykit was the only tortoiseshell tom around and he looked exactly like Dawnleaf. "Berrykit! Leopardkit!" She called, and they ran over to her.
"Birdkit don't run off like that we need to stay together," Berrykit scolded looking down at his sister.
"Do either of you know where the other kits are?" She asked.
Berrykit shook his head but Leopardkit spoke, "They were taken, I don't know where. When they brought us here I saw a few people take a kit from each clan away. They haven't come back yet..." The spotted kit spoke looking more subdued than she usually was.
(I was thinking that those kits would be the ones who died, if that's wrong let me know.)

(yeah, good idea. >< I forgot about them. lol)
Featherstar blanched. What would BlackClan do with one kit specifically from each clan? An answer tried to squirm its way from the back of her head, but she blocked it off. A meow from behind confirmed what Birdkit said; one kit from each clan was missing, but all the pups were here. Suddenly, there was a faint rustling from behind Featherstar, and she whirled around to see something flying through the air while distant scrambling sounds of escape faded into the distance. Her green eyes trained on the object, she could just distinguish it as a furry creature - a piece of prey? No, a cat. A young kit. Being flung like prey, arching high over the four clans' upturned heads and falling slowly in a confused blur of colors. Featherstar felt her stomach squeeze, and gagged dryly when the mutilated face of the innocent creature landed dully half a tail-length from her nose.

Bridkit let out a strangled gasp as she regarded the kit, "Sand... Sand.... it's... it's... SANDKIT!" She screamed. Sandkit was one of the younger kits of Stormclan, only two moons old. She backed away slowly towards her siblings, Leopardkit was fluffed up looking larger than she was and Berrykit was shaking in anger.

Featherstar took a shaky breath, trying to make the fur along her spine stay down. Anger ricocheted around in her mind, and adrenaline pulsed rapidly through her veins. A shocked murmur spread like wildfire through the aggregation of cats, and several yowls pierced the air followed by an eerie wail. Sandkit's mother blundered through the feline crowd, her remaining kits staring on with wide eyes swimming with fear and confusion. Featherstar looked down, bowing her head, and felt her heart pound faster with anger and grief for this kit whom she did not know. Then a sudden thought jolted through her like lightning, and made her tail stand on end. "The other kits!" she meowed hoarsely, wanting to panic at the thoughts that flashed through her mind. Immediately the ocean of cats became a single torrent, a wave in which individuals were swallowed up and washed along in, roaring their rage and crashing through the forest towards the place the kit had been thrown from. They pushed on, not quite themselves, masked by a common anger, a common sorrow. A clearing opened up, and the wave skidded to a violent halt. In its center lay a second slaughtered kit, once again whom Featherstar did not recognize but who SandClan cats did.
[I was thinking BlackClan would lead them to a cornered area, like a crevice between two large rocks and try to fight them from there (this was someone else's idea, not Dirtstar's since he was busy with Blackfog, but someone came up with it that was guarding the foxhole but heard the entire mass of cats coming, and decided that this was the only way to go. But then they mis-gauged how angry the clan cats would be as well as the wolves (they had thought that since they didn't take any wolf pups, the wolves wouldn't vouch so strongly for the other clans), but they're all furious and attack full-force to the death, and StarClan has to break it up (the kits who were just slaughtered can come back and say stuff or something) and then the battle ends and we can start with the new plot.)

"Cougarkit..." The deputy (she doesn't know Silverstar is dead) whispered looking down at the body of the kit. She hung her head and closed her green eyes trying to suppress the grief that welled up in her. Suddenly there was a horrified wail as the golden coloured cat pushed her way towards the small body and fell to the ground.
"No, Cougarkit. COUGARKIT!" Goldenflame screamed, not caring who was around. Fawnkit and Sunkit, Cougarkit's sisters, walked forward and looked down at their brother. Goldenflame fell silent, in shock and Brightfire flicked her tail for Darkfoot, Tearsparkle and Cloverstone.
"Take Goldenflame and all the kits back to camp along with Cougarkit's body. Tell Silverstar what happened and that I have gone to make sure the monsters who did this pay the price." The she~cat hissed the last part, her orange tail fluffing up and her green eyes flashing. The warrior's nodded, and began to herd the rest of the kits away, while Tearsparkle picked up Cougarkit. Goldenflame got to her feet and walked after them, still in shock.
Brightfire turned back to the rest of the cats. Addressing, not just Sandclan but all of the clans. "We must not bring the kits any further. We must send them back to camp with a few warriors. No more kits are going to die today." She met the gaze of Fireclaw, Berryheart (star?) and finally Featherstar. She was saying that she was in charge now. That she would not let anyone else tell her what to do in a time like this.

"One warrior per kit, at least." Featherstar added insistingly. So they can pick them up and run if need be; we don't know what's waiting in the forest. She knew there was to be a final battle soon; her own blood pounded and her claws ached for it, and that warriors couldn't be spared. But this was - this had to be more important. After all, it was what they were going to fight for, wasn't it? "And a couple more to guard. Don't have them split up to go to their own camps - Brightfire, can SandClan harbor them all for now?"

Brightfire nodded and looked at Fireclaw, "They'll have to go through Stormclan territory but Sandclan is the farthest from Blackclan, they'll be safe there. Tell Silverstar what's going on." She meowed to one of her warriors as the others began to organize.

~As Robinfur~(too lazy to swich accounts)
The light pierced Robinfur's eyes. "Mom?" She barked. Moonflower came beside robinfur. They were both barking for Echostream. "There she is!" Moonflower barked. Robinfur looked to where Moonflower looked to see their snow white mother searching frantically for them. The pups ran to her. "Robinfur! Moonflower!" Echostream barked as she licked their heads and nudged with her nose.

[Silentsong's with them too. Lol, she never really got too far with her plan except she killed one cat. ] Featherstar watched the wolf pups' reunion with their mother, but soon the crowd was beginning to surge towards the BlackClan scent again, anger throbbing through their common veins for the lives of the two dead kits. They approached the edge of BlackClan territory, towards the rocky end where the Lightning Crevice separated it from WolfPack. Featherstar prayed feverishly that there wouldn't be any more slaughtered kits; her nose-to-nose encounter with the first was enough to make her want to rip the heads off of a million BlackClan warriors. Another skidding stop. Another death. The crowd of cats didn't seem to clearly comprehend it all anymore, it became a blur of anger and glinting teeth and wild yowling. Featherstar didn't even realize she were out of breath until the mass stopped yet again, this time because there was no longer anywhere to go. BlackClan had run them into a crevice. The calico she-cat whirled around, nearly in time with everyone else, to see warriors slinking out of the shadows like mud oozing from a swamp. Disgust tightened her throat, and fury unsheathed her claws until their pink bases showed. The cats in the front, within reach of the BlackClan warriors, were already fighting. Oh, they're smart. Featherstar thought vaguely, her voice sour with sarcasm even in her head. Cornering us so not all of us can fight, do they plan to take us down one by one? Fat chance. Another dead kit was slung into the center of the writhing mass of clan cats; that made four, one from each clan. A squirming circle was formed around the motionless kit, nobody having the stomach to touch it, not to mention think of it. Featherstar felt her stomach contracting, but forced the little food she in her stomach had back down. The rest of the cats seemed to parallel her fury, and the FalconClan leader's green eyes caught surprise on the faces of the BlackClan warriors they were battling. They could win this, and they would. A few warriors broke the line, retreating. The four clans and WolfPack streamed after them, with nothing but revenge on their minds. This would be the end of BlackClan. [Yeah, so she's kind of going temporarily mad, but it's understandable; what would you do if you saw four slaughtered babies in the time period of a few minutes? Actually, not sure if that comparison was necessary, so my apologies if you were disturbed by it; I just wanted to make a point as to why my RP is kind of... er... what's the word? Weird? XD Sorry.] [Also, if you have a StarClan cat, you can come in now. ]

Post by Mothtail on Nov 11, 2009 19:39:28 GMT -5
Mothtail stepped forward cautiously, and touched her nose to the dead kits still warm fur. Blood plastered it's pelt down, and the smell of death was crawling all over it. Mothtail grew nauseous. She had never seen so many dead cats in one day. Not to mention so many dead kits! She wanted to gag badly. She wanted to run back to the moors of Falconclan so the winds would blow the stench away. But she held her breath, like any other day in the medicine cat den, to hide the smell. The tabby grabbed the mangled body by the scruff, and carried it out of the circle of cats. She walked over to the corner of the cave, away from the battle, and placed it down. Who was it's mother? Would she want it buried here, or to take it's body? Mothtail thought of the controversial of burying the kit, pushing the thought that its mother might be dead as well out of her mind. The medicine cat left the kit their, the sight of it no longer bearable. What she found was much worse. War. Mothtail was used to war. She was a medicine cat, she healed war every day. But this, this was horrible. She saw the faces of blackclan cats, disoriented with fear, as they ran from the scene. Hideous cries of death rang in her ears as more blackclan cats were killed. What were they thinking, attacking all four clans and a pack of wolves? Of course they couldn't do it. The clans were winning. And soon the kit killers would be gone. I should be happy, right? Mothtail starred at an apprentice, who looked young enough to be a kit. He was fighting with a Falconclan cat, who the medicine cat could not identify under all the blood. With a swift bite, the blackclan apprentice was dead. He was tossed aside without a thought, and the warrior moved to the next murderer. For a second, the whole cave seemed to turn scarlet red, and Mothtail couldn't tell which cat was from which clan. The medicine cat had the gag feeling again, though she was far away from the deceased kit. Oh Starclan, just make it stop!
