Echostream didn't take her eyes of the cat as she answered, "I can tell he loves her, he's a good liar, but not good enough. And I will let him have her back when he puts the kit down and gives us all the ones he stole back! HE TOOK MY PUPS DAWNCHASER! I WILL NOT LET HIM MOVE A MUSCLE UNTIL THEY ARE SAFE ALONG WITH EVERY OTHER INNOCENT ONE HE HAS STOLE!" The she~wolfs yowl pounded through the tunnels and everyone in them turned to look at the white wolf.

Before Dirtstar could stop himself, a vicious snarl erupted from his throat, partially muffled by the kits' soft fur. "Take the kit!" he thundered, half placing, half tossing the bundle of fur onto the ground. He opened his mouth to say more, but hesitated. No, how could he have been that obvious?! No - he wasn't obvious - they were mistaken. I love nobody. he hissed to himself. Yet the truth of that she-wolf's words hit him like stones falling from high in the sky, sparking an intolerable anger deep within his stomach that broiled and burned through his throat and into his eyes. "I'll show you the others. Now set her free.. and mind your own personal life!!" Dirtstar half-snarled, half-roared.

Dawnchaser was taken aback by the she-wolf's fury and stood their blinking for a moment.

~As Birchkit~
Birchkit landed on the muddy ground, relieved to be out of the jaws of the monster who had held hime captive. The brown tom-kit squirmed in the thick mud for a second, but managed to stand to his paws. Without pausing, Birchkit scampered behind the giant white dog, and was greeted by yet another wolf, wjo didnt even notice him. Birchkit trudged through the mud, past the wolf, and finally potitiond himself in a crouch behind one of the wolf's massive paws.

Ashnight was in shock. And in denile. She felt shocked by what Echostream had just done, and in denile by the fact that she just sat there and did nothing. She was the monarch of her pack, and she just sat backed and watched. She was enraged.
Ashnight was so engulfed in what just happened, she didn't realize the cat that had been being held by the leader had ran behind her paw. She lifted her leg and the little cat gazed up. Wait, if this is a kit, maybe it knew where the pups are. Ashnight thought this, and maybe this little kit can help. She leaned her head down and spoke to the kit. "Do you know where our pups are?" She whispered to the tiny creature. It shivered with fear and nodded. "Can you tell us where they are?" The creature nodded again and began to meow softly.

"Can....tell...where....are?" The wolf asked. "There is a... a realy big hole. I- I heard some dog b-barks." Me and my littermate ne-never saw them though." he squeaked. The black wolf nodded. "Were...hole?" it replied. The tabby tom-kit shifted on his paws, remembering how he had almost fell in himself when trying to find an exit to the tunnels."Far. Far down the.. the tunnels. Its d-dark and wet..." The wolf gave him a faint smile. "Thank..." Birchkit managed to put a small smile on his face, but it vanished in a second. How can I smile when my sister is still in danger?

Yes! I should try and be friendly like this more often. Ashnight thought as she lifted her head up. I know there is a big hole, this cat heard barks, they never saw the pups, it is dark and wet and far down the tunnels. I should tell Echostream. Since she is going through major motherly instincts right now, she will come u with a top-notch plan in no time.
Ashnight slowly pawed over to Echostream. She was just far enough so that her mouth was right next to Echostream's ear. "I found out some information about where the pups might be." Ashnight whispered. Echostream switched her head over to Ashnight in anxiety. Her eyes plead out to tell her everything. "They could be in a large hole far down the tunnels in a dark wet area. The cat," Echostream came and interrupted. "You listened to a cat." Ashnight looked at her paws. "You trust a cat. Anyway, the cat didn't see any pups, but it heard barking. So we should be able to find them at the sound of barking." Echostream let out a faint smile. "Should I tell others? I thought that you could come up with a plan, since you seem to be better at this situation than I am."

"Okay, he put the foxdung down. Now Get Off Me!" Blackfog hissed, under the weight of Foxshadow. He seemed hestitant, but eventaully got off. A deal was a deal, even if the warrior didn't make it himself. Blackfog got up and flicked her tail angrily, licking her paw to clean her ears. She felt so dirty and painful and embarrassed and humiliated... Stop complaining! It's not like any blackclan caat saw you! well, except Dirtstar. Blood rushed to the deputies face at the thought of her leader. What the wolves had said, about Dirtstar's... love? How did they know? How could some random dog know about the problems she and Dirtstar had been having for the past moon? And now everyone knew. Was it impossible to keep a secret anymore? Blackfog snuck up to Dirtstar, before anyone could notice her absense. They were all too confused, too confined in the tunnels to mind. "We can still sneak out of here and leave them behind. They'll never find a way out." Blackfog whispered, a sound for his ears only.

Dirtstar gave a short nod, turning around and beginning to leave. Blackfog followed, and soon they were out of the tunnels. They ran in silence, leaving the echoing sounds of wolves and cats behind. Soon the lack of sound became intolerable. What am I supposed to say?! the BlackClan leader wondered, not remembering ever feeling so lost.
~As Featherstar~
"Come on, let's go." They turned around, scrambling back they way they came, calling out to the wolves and cats they'd posted along the way so they could get back out. Their group collected more and more members, until they finally burst through the stuffy, BlackClan-scent covered tunnels. "Birchkit?" the leader meowed softly. "Show us the way to the others."
[How about the kits aren't in the tunnels, just to keep things less complicated. How about they were moved to some fox-hole in the forest or something...]

[Okay]
Before she knew it, they were headed out the tunnel. Many were running, but some were walking at a fast pace. Everyone was anxious to find their young.
Soon they saw the light at the end of the tunnel. They walked out, and the area was completely deserted. No traces. The bodies of the dead cats were still everywhere. The mob of creatures carefully walked around the battle field, trying not to step on anything. The cat that had been ginving all the orders came up on a small mound of dirt. "... find... young!" It meowed. "Check... corners... must not fail!... orient selves... groups... go!" The cat stepped down, and just like that, it started. 4 cats, including the one that spoke, were making groups out of the felines. Groups of cats were leaving the area swiftly. All the wolves stood there not doing anything. Ashnight turned around. "Tornear," The deputy looked up at her, "Take Silverdew, Firetail, Songstream, and Geckopelt north and search. Silvershadow, take Snowclaw, Coyotepelt, Nightsong, Flowerheart, and Birdspot and go west. Sunfeather, take Pondleaf, Stonetail, Rockclaw, Moonfight, and Lizardheart south. The rest of you, come with me." The wolves spread out and ran off. Each goup running in different directions. The search began again.

Berryheart came into blackclan territory just as everyone was coming out of the tunnels. She ran over and was anxious to meet with her clan so she could catch up on what happened.

Featherstar looked around as the wolves split up. "Birchkit?" She asked again, hopefully. "Do you know around where the other cats took the other kits? If you tell us, we can find them." If he didn't know, then maybe they'd rush around BlackClan territory as well. But that was near futile, something would happen before that task could be completed. At least a general idea from the kit would help. We can find them. Featherstar thought, reassuring herself. BlackClan will pay for this. It's high time we rid the forest of them, and maybe the wolves will do it with us. Little did she know that StarClan had other plans.

"A hole..." Featherstar murmured to herself. "Out of the tunnels?" She inquired. Birchkit nodded, his eyes still round. "It must be a fox-hole!" a warrior shouted, before Featherstar could voice her own thoughts. "We'll search those!"

A cat exlaimed,"... Fox holes!.... Search!" Then everyone went on it. Sniffing out the smell of Fox.
